Because of Liang. I live in Amamake. You should drop by with your Falcon and make me cry. I'm so terrible at this game and my tears are so easy to take and you can farm kills off of me allll daaayyyy loonnnnggg..... It might even be worth staging a few falcons in Ossogur just to make sure you can quickly replace any losses from the rats (because we both know I suck too bad to actually kill you). You can use Red Frog Freight to move them in bulk. :( :( :( :( OP: Gonna go with the Basilisk and Harpy as my favorite ships. -Liang Ed: Also, Talos... dayum it must be seen to be believed.
I believe you were being mocked, Liang. How does it feel?
Also, Rifter. The Rifter is magical and seems to attract dumb people to underestimate it like no other frigate does. There are tons of other "interesting" ships to fly, and I fly a wide variety of ships of all races, but the Rifter has a special place in my heart.
Oh, also the Vagabond. Because it is a giant frigate.
Edit: Yeah, I tried to take on a shield Talos with a Harbinger in a few test fights. I lost every time. How is the Talos so friggin good. |

Oh you must be mistaken. See, the Talos has blasters and therefore it goes 800 m/s and can't hit further than 2km....... heh heh heh (The tracking + drone bonus helps a lot.) -Liang
Oh, that was a statement, not a question. Battleship blasters with tracking bonus and damage bonus, plus the massive tracking buff blasters got = amazing. It's a mini-Megathron that does more damage, and is way faster. And I am never letting myself be anywhere near it in a Vagabond.
Crucible has changed my perspective on Gallente boats quite a lot. It's not "lol, I can out-range it with regular short-range autocannon ammo" anymore. I've even started to fly Thorax, and it is quite a mean ship now. Not quite my favorite yet, but rather great, since it's still underestimated by most people. |

Also, i don't believe that noone has answered this. I couldn't believe nobody else said Vagabond, either. Maybe it's because both the Vaga and Mach (and Cynabal at that) are giant frigates, and nobody likes to fly frigates. |

BTW, I'm going to try to sneak that fight into Amamake Fun 2.
-Liang STOP MOCKING ME DAMMIT. You and your bloody Harpy...
I actually just didn't want you to see that I was trying out Javelin S. Turns out it still has tracking issues unless I "keep at range" or manually fly (which is difficult with a 3 km optimal). |

It's way better damage than the old way of using autocannons on the Merlin, and better than electron blasters (because lolrange). Once I finish Energy Management V for a MAPC II, I can use ions, but until then... we derailed the thread |

-Liang Indeed. So how about that Falcon? It got the same speed bonus that all other Caldari hybrid ships got, so it must be a hybrid ship by CCP's definition |

Both the damage and tank were too low. Even if you have the damage, if you ever miss a single jam, you are immediately dead. I'd rather use a Griffin and not even pretend to have a tank. I almost killed a Stabber in a Griffin once, but it managed to get back to the gate in time... |

I enjoy flying Kitsune and Sentinel, but strictly as long range (30-40 km) support ships. Their low tank makes me extremely nervous. That said, I have had great fun with both of them.
The most notable moment was when my gang engaged a Dramiel+Vagabond, only to realize they were tackle for an oncoming blob. I jammed both of them, and my whole gang escaped. Before I warped out, the Dramiel and Vagabond were futilely and angrily trying to bump me. I feel bad and awesome at the same time for that. |

The few times I or people I know flew them over the years, it was always amazing and delightful how big of a pest of yourself you could make in a gang (/me giggles)...
The Hyena is too paper-thin for how much attention it draws to itself, IMO. I've been telling myself to try the Keres (I have Gallente Frigate V and EAF IV), but I never got around to training sensor dampeners. Is it really that fun? |

I was thinking more AB/Point/Damp with railguns, for maximum infuriatingness. Maybe I shouldn't be telling you this. |

The Maller is my favourite.... gas miner. Just kidding, even at this the Omen is better.
The Maller actually makes a nice cheap bricky tackle/neut ship. It sucks at doing damage, but you can pack it with neuts and a cap booster to shut down any target. I think I had a 2x medium neut + 4x small neut setup with around 40k EHP once. |

The Legion/Orca trick brings piracy to a new level of horribleness that only Heretic Army has ever achieved. Revel in it. |

Oh come on, we're under a lot of pressure to get year over year growth for kills in Amamake!
I wasn't being sarcastic. "Horrible" is sometimes a compliment. |
